Black chunks in the palm, above the mill
The palm of a gray sweater holds large black chunks above the mill's hopper. The red basin, on the right, holds black powder. The plaid shirt's hand rests on the basin's rim.
No face enters the frame. The person in the gray sweater has a stained palm. The chunks are irregular, with sharp edges. Another hand, low at the left, comes near the wooden handle of the crank. The person in the maroon plaid shirt rests a hand on the basin; a turquoise bracelet circles that wrist. The hopper holds no chunks: the powder is in the basin.
