The palm of crumbs and the hand on the crank
The gray sweater's palm holds small black chunks above the hopper. Another hand grips the crank. The red basin, on the right, holds the black powder.
The chunks in the palm are broken, nearly crumbs, and the dust darkens the lines of the hand. The sleeve is gray and knitted. The hand on the crank shows no sleeve. The maroon plaid shirt stands behind, and a hand with a turquoise bracelet rests beside the basin. The hopper's inside is dark. The chunks are not in it: they remain in the palm. No face is visible.
