In black and white, crumbs in the palms
The photograph is in black and white. Both palms, in knitted sleeves, hold dark crumbs beside a round vessel full of fine powder. A looped bolt shows above the powder.
There is no color in the frame. The crumbs are small, and they leave the skin of the palms stained. The sleeves are a heavy knit. Legs and the uneven ground show behind. The round vessel fills the right side, and the powder comes near the rim. A looped bolt shows above the powder. No face enters. Both hands are offered together.
