Moss and needles on the bark
A cushion of green moss covers the bark. Dry, thin pine needles cross above it. At the lower right, the lichen is pale. The trees in the background are out of focus.
The moss forms small, tight cushions, light green at the tips. Among them are brown pieces, tiny and elongated. Some needles are in focus and others become lines in front of the moss. The bark along the lower edge is dark, with patches of lichen. The light is even. Behind, the trunks dissolve into a pale background.
