Green shoots among the dry needles
The ground is covered with pine needles, long and reddish. Green shoots, with two leaves, come up among them. A gray twig and a small cone also show, toward the left.
The needles cross in every direction and cover almost all of the earth. The shoots are few and scattered; the clearest one sits near the center. The twig is thicker than the needles and has a pale spot. The cone, at the left edge, sits among the needles and is not fully in view. There are no flowers and no people. The light is even, without strong shadows.
