Leafless trunks, in black and white
In black and white, a very tall leafless trunk stands at the center, surrounded by others just as bare. A few dark crowns sit lower. Fallen trunks and shrubs lie in front.
Fine branches stand out against a bright, nearly cloudless sky. The trunks cross and hide much of the distance; a pale ridge is only just visible behind them. Some crowns keep a dark mass, so not every tree is bare. Fallen trunks and low growth fill the foreground.
