WM-GRO-02 Folder
Interview
The folder documents the interview with Maestro Abertano Gerónimo Cantú García, a traditional Mèʼphàà musician, in Laguna Seca. He reads and listens to Nagzdaga'u, the “Dance of Death,” while Maestro Jalil Mosso Castrejón plays it on the guitar, and he himself plays the Xtá Ratsá melody on the trumpet. There are portraits, the score, the hands, a fiber weave, and tools on the adobe. The walk follows dirt roads, the banana grove, and the view of Malinaltepec (Mañuwún).
