The needle enters the brown band
A woman in a navy shirt sews the end of a brown band. The needle enters the edge. Orange scissors sit beside the seam, with brown thread, a tube, and feathers on the concrete.
The band has a fine texture, and the cut edge looks frayed. An orange cord crosses the shirt, and a thread bracelet is on the wrist. Behind her are another person’s legs, in jeans, on the paving. On the ground sit the spool, a crumpled metal tube, the scissors, and the tips of red and black feathers. The brand on the tube cannot be read. The woman’s face stays out of frame.
