Forested ridges and a clear track

The right foreground is a nearer, greener wood. Toward the center the mountain closes and leaves no large clearing. The clear track appears halfway up the slope and disappears among the trees. Farther back the ridges turn blue. On the summit the reddish patches have no smoke and no flame. No people and no roofs can be made out. The photographer's note places the view in the community of Laguna Seca. The frame shows the ridges, not the settlement.
