From behind, the cross and the trumpet
The photograph is black and white. A man walks away along a dirt path, in a light cap and a dark vest, with the trumpet at his side. On the left, a wooden cross stands among the vegetation.
His face is not visible. The trumpet hangs, with the bell showing, and is not at his lips. The cross is made of pale boards, bound with wire, and leans into the vegetation. The path has loose stones, and the man's shadow falls on it. On a pole at the left is a circle that cannot be read. The branches close the background.
