The shadow of Abertano's trumpet
The photograph is black and white. Maestro Abertano Gerónimo Cantú García plays the trumpet under a roof, in a cap and a vest. The trumpet's shadow stretches on the concrete. The bleachers show on the right.
One hand rests on the valves and the other supports the tubing. The cap has a patch that cannot be read. The shirt is light and the vest is dark. The shadow of the player, and that of the trumpet, cross the concrete toward the left. Behind, in the bright opening, are banana leaves. The bleachers are at the right edge. There is no score, and no children are in the frame.
