Red and black, together at the rim
A woman holds a speckled red feather and a black one, both against the rim of the brown band. The orange handle of the scissors shows behind her arm. Her face stays out of the frame.
The red feather sits a little behind the black one. One hand takes the fluffy base of the red feather and the other holds the black quill. The band is open and shows a lighter interior. On the right is a brown scrap of the same material. Below, other feathers fall out of focus, red and black. The navy shirt, the orange cord, and the bracelet are visible. The spool of thread shows at the left edge.
