In black and white, the trunk and the puddle
The photograph is black and white. A dark trunk fills the right side, beside a puddle. A man in a cap walks away and carries the trumpet. Dry stalks stand in the mud. His face stays hidden.
The trunk's bark has pale patches. The man wears a dark vest and holds the trumpet low, with the bell in view. The road is uneven, with puddles. Dry stalks come up in a clear patch of mud. The foreground mixes needles and dark grass. Woods close the background, and pines show above. The cap reads light against the foliage.
